I just installed my DP Tuner today, It makes the old girl get up and go. My question is that from a stop on 100, or 120 hp it seems to retard at high rpms in 1st gear and then kicks in at the 2nd gear change. When I hit second gear it leaves 5-6ft black marks and is haulin ass again. Do I need the overboost annihilator, or is it the tranny or Tq converter. Doesnt retard in 2nd on stock tune. Any sugestions would be great. Thanks alot an advance!

Then I don't think you are overboosting. It does sound like you may be running out of fuel or out of HPOP at those high rpms.

what do you recomend? Shimming th FPR?

JMO but that would help. See the current post (yesterday) on Shimming the FPR... (and eliminating air getting into the fuel)

Joe

A boost Pessure relief valve, of some sort, would also help... just for insurance against set'n codes and the PCM going into a De-fuel mode.

No I know I need them real bad.:( They are my next upgrade for sure. I just got the speed bug and had to get my DP-Tuner. Going to keep it on 80 econ. until gauges.

Very, Very good point Dennis. I missed that.

02OB... You need those (Gauges) BIG TIME. If you had a boost gauge... you may have already found, or know, the answer(s) to your high end power issues. You May have some Turbo system leaks. A boost gauge will tell you ALOT about those things.

Your Call Though.
