my filter is not touching that pad above the wheel well it is about an inch off of it wedged between the battery and the fuse box but not wedged super tight just barly and the fitting i used was from home depot just a 3" 45degree coupling but the outside diameter is 4" so it fits perfect at first i bought a 4" one and it didnt go on no matter how hard i tried it was only like 3 dollars i think not to bad but took me a few trips down there and back to get the right piece that fit haha

what part number is that filter on fleet filter so i know when its time to replace this one

thanks

The part number is the same as NAPA if I remember right

I think there is another number or letter in front of it though but it is still a 6637.

So you dont have any regular 4" pipe then do you. It is just the 3" 45 degree angle?

any guesses on how ofter replacement will be needed? it looks like a fun mod. i like the sheer mass of filter you see when you lift the hood.
i currently have a K&N filter system... would i benifit more from this set up? in performance and/or spool up noise?

i like the spool up!

I think the biggest bennifit would be cleaner air from what I have heard about the K&N's. Not sure which specific filter you are running but I imagine the spool up over yours wouldn't be to much different. All I know though is it is a Huge difference in Noise on the Intake side over the stock filter.
