AND lessen the tariff so they are priced the same in America. I believe that if they put a tariff on foreign oil there would be riots in the streets...
that word subsidize sort of gets me,
maybe do it for a finite time period of say 5 years, by then the technology and our farmers should be caught up enough to be on equal footing , providing the brazilain gov doesnt further subsidize to keep prices un-fairly low,
tariff foriegn oil and open up more of our fields . or here is a thought,
produce more soybeans for bio????
if you put a five year plan into effect, incrimentally increase tariffs on ALL imported crude or finished petroleum products and kicked in to get the bio over the hump, we could be very close to a good balance of say 10% of our oil imported.
it would be a hard sell, even ted doesnt want a wind farm off martha vineyard, it might spoil his view
