Yep its been awhile for me
but whats the EASIEST way to get from DFW airport (avis)out to Rockwall on hwy 66
I havent been that way in about .... 20 years
i usually drive.
flying out next weekend for a fast trip

I got confuesd on mapquest, seems they renamed some roads , goerge bush turnpike ??? yep its been awhile since iwas on that side of town.
and flyin as it was refered to earlier

Yeap that'd be the fastest route is down to 30 head east thru Big D and out to Rockwall

And I can't for the life of me see how someone could refer to that route as the "fastest"... especially at rush hour

but it is the most direct !

my mom said it takes now about an hour and she flyies through rowlett and goes back roads that used to be two lane no where roads when i was a kid
see i need to get home more

when i was a kid we flew into love field. that was easy to get to rockwall
lovers lane and zooooom

Yahoo says go around the 635 loop though !!!!
your choice and really depends on the time of day either way...
I would have suggested like Bill...
south to 183,
east to 35E,
south to 30,
East toward the lake and rockwall...
