diesel smell in cab

hey guys had a little problem pop up the other day and was wanting some of y'alls expertise. so it started about a week ago when i turned on the vent and the air comin through smelled like diesel. at first i thought i might have been just smellin things but i wasnt. the weird thing is that it doesnt smell this way with the a/c on. i checked what i would think to check for leaks.(visual inspection of engine and around the fuel filters, mainly the one in the engine bay) but i didnt see anyting. anyone got any ideas-thanks cody

I had the same problem a couple of months ago. It turned out to be a hairline crack in the plastic engine compartment fuel filter cap. The folks at Jiffy Lube tightened it down too much.

thanks man i'll have to go over it again just checked for noticeable leaks the other day
