Diesel Down, Died, won't start.

I was driving down the interstate, just getting my truck out, it had been sitting for a few months. I made it about 5 miles and truck died, won't start back up. I had it towed home. I replaced the CPS and full filter, still won't start.

Any suggestions?????

check your fuses, ? can you hear the fuel pump running when you cycle the key. should run for a few seconds. think it's located on the d/s frame rail.

it would be helpful if we knew what year, what motor, & if you have
any performance enhancing mods.

did you ever fix the cps problem you had ? perhaps its failed again.

hummm so there is a performance tuner of some kind (ford installed or not, remove it to determine if thats causing the problem).

disconnecting the batteries will only make trouble shooting it more difficult,
you may need to find a code reader/scanner...it could make trouble shooting
this EASY

It is a 2001 F250 4x4, 7.3L Power stroke. Only mods was a performance upgrade from ford done by the previous owner, came with gauges and a performance download done by ford.
I thought the CPS had failed again, thats why I replaced it. Still a nogo.

I can hear the fuel pump running, when I turn the key.

it could be dead due to low oil level, if you havent thought to check that yet.

bottom like, you need a scanner !

its anyones guess...and i have to wonder about
the tuner and the batteries !
