it happened to me once, but it was between the backing plat and rear drum. dont ask me how it bounced up in there. it made a SHOWER of sparks that i saw in the rearview mirror!

yep... had one in our 86 F250 for a couple months... drove us nuts at random. wasn't until the Rotor was pulled that the limestone chip was found. amazing how things bounce around.
