I added a MBRP 4" Turbo back ss409 with the kitty killer, well I like it but I want it louder, will adding the muffler delete make it too ignorant or will it solve my quest for a window shattering alarm tripping exhaust?

In a van down by the river...
i think the muffler delete would definitly make it louder.

Ditto, but I think there's a fine line that needs to be toed between healthy-sounding and just plain obnoxious. Obnoxious loud gets attention from the 5-O and pisses people off (giving the diesel-driving community in general a bad name) so I don't see the point in being as loud as possible. It's kind of like people who think it's "cool" to have opaque clouds of black smoke out the tailpipe--that much smoke doesn't mean performance worth a damn and folks who might be on the fence re: diesels start to think that all oilburners are loud, polluting, and inefficient engines.

I've got straight pipe on mine. No kitty Cat, no muffler. Under WOT it sounds like a Big Block motor. Highway cruising exhaust noise is BARELY noticeable. Towing up a hill at around 3200 rpm, it sounds like a hurricane. I get people doing double takes everytime I pass them up a hill towing something. Ofcourse, the high pitch whistle of the turbo only adds to the effect.

Cliff notes: I think you'll be happy with no muffler.
