Hey folks ,

I was just told that to remove the cat, the truck must be reflashed or something ! to stop it from burning extra fuel. I thought that only concerned the 2008 trucks . Also what can be done about the fl:rantipping turbo lag.

Thanks Jim

The cat can be misplaced without any other engine or programming work.

Performance wise I don't know that it really does that much, at least I couldn't tell much difference with mine. It does have more whistle and the EGTs are lower, but that's about it.

The SCT helped with reducing the lag, but there is still some there.

no need to have it reflashed, if you delete the cat....this mod will also help a bit with turbo spool up, which may reduce some of your lag....also, if you haven`t done it yet, doing the ZOO-DAD mod may help a little too....anything that will make the engine breathe better, should help....

if you are expieriencing severe turbo lag, it is also poosible the vanes in the turbo are sticking a little...if you don`t have it already, there is alot of information on the 6.0L bible....hope this helps

also getting a programmer will make a difference....SCT
