Defueling at 93 MPH?

Was running with some rice burner earlier today and happened to get stop at a stop light next to one of them. Well he started reving his weed eater at me. So the light turned green and I left him sitting at the light. He was playing ketchup the hole time until I hit 93 MPH and the truck would not go any faster. Boost dropped to 8 PSI and just felt like the truck defueled. Well he finaly got passed me. Not happy about this. Is this right? What can I do to fix this? Will the TS performance chip help? Need to get rid of this.

I thought the speed limiter was set at 98 on these trucks? Thats what it sounds like you hit yer speed limiter. Just need to find a programmer that removes it prolly get a plug thingy that'll do it

Guess I'll call DPPI on Monday and see what we can do. Rooster it probley was 98 but by the time it happened and I ran through the a gauges and it had dropped to 93.

O also it was 98.8. Looked at the GPS that is the max speed.

When I had a TS chip, the 140hp program removed the speed limiter, so did the 100 and 125 settings too.

Did you get your switch in? Was this running the chip? What was your boost level? Truck will defuel at 25psi without something to keep the map from seeing that level.

i have the same chip with a manual tranny. I have had no problems with the governer. when I dynoed my truck it made it to 114mph, but it will throw an SES light. I have since ordered and installed a MAP/boost fooler. last time i tested it, I pegged out the speedo with no SES light, and no defuel. I went with ITP's overboost annihilator for about 52 shipped. it was easy to install too.

Wait till ya get it removed its cool cause when i hit over 100 my speedo drops down to zero and my digital odometer has dashes - - - - - .
