We have deer walking just north of us about 600 yards, to far away for good pictures, i tried videoing them yesterday evening but SPOOKED em
what can i set out to pull them closer for a picture shot??? and i can stay out of sight better.
they are small deer, two does and a baby

Walk out to where you saw them and pour out a handful of corn. Then walk back to the house droping two or three kernals every 7-8 steps.

They will follow the "breadcrum" trail to you.

a guy i know used to use salt licks,apples,and horse grain.he had them to the point that they would come to him and take grain or apple pieces out of his hand.

Leave 'em a note telling them what a purdy truck ya have. And then drive up and down the road at night at 60 mph or so. You'll surely get close enough for a pic.


But seriously folks, corn, apples, sugar beets and even left over pumpkins are a few of the things hunters use for deer bait U.P. here.

If you want some really good close up action pictures all you have to do is get a little bottle of doe estrus dab a little behind your ears and wait for the bucks to show up................then the action begins.


A guy videotaped himself after doing this and a buck showed up and kicked the ever living **** out of him. His excuse for doing it.................wanted to see what the deer would do Here's your sign!

this is the BEST way. or do a driveway burn out heading out to the road.

THIS AM, at O-dark-30 (5:30), its drizzling. i was on the highway heading to a jobsite. talking to contractor on the phone. i was in the left lane, passing semi on the right. 4 point saunters on the road from the right. i scream obscenities, drop phone hit brakes hard. semi starts screeching. we come to a complete stop. bastard just sauntered across the road. i pick up the phone. contractor says "you by 176? 4 point crossed the road?" seems like this one has a sick sense of humor. or maybe its a geico add.

just had to vent.

Deer Cane is awsome ya pour it on the ground, its like a salt lick but it will stay in the ground for a LONG time. We've hadden comin back even a year after to nose around the area
