I live 16 miles west of the White House & I take I-81 to New England.. I-81 runs right thru downtown Courtland..

Hint.. Fuel up at the Flying J at VA-WV line.. cheapest fuel you see until the return trip..

On Edit: Google routes you I-95 to I-495 (the Beltway) to I-270 (12 lane wide commuter route) to US-15 to I-81..

The I-26/I-77 adds 37 miles to the run & misses the mess north of Richmond.. stay away! take I-81

Thanks for the fuel stop info. We will be taking 81 all the way North. Truck is ready except for the Christmas wreath on the truck.

You guys are driving me nuts bringing this thread back to the top. I am soooo ready for some snow. My son was born the day after Christmas last year and this will be the first time that some of our family has seen him. Not to mention I have a major need for . This will also be the first Christmas in 3 years that we will travel home for. The two older kids are already threatening me with .
