So, I bought a 2000 F450 awhile back and it has a few things to be fixed. Latest attempt is the very sloppy shift arm. i went to tighten the 2 screws that become loose on occasion, thanks to reading on this forum. Problem is i broke one. Now to get that broken one out, I need better access so I started removing the entire dash. I have it all apart except for the biggest piece that runs right up to the windshield. It is loose except for what I think is the dash vent hookups. They appear to be screwed into the dash from the windshield side and I cant see a way to access them so the part will lift off. Anyone been there done that??

yeah, i can see the bracket, and there seems to be one screw at each end of the bracket. My problem is the screw heads face into the firewall side of all this. Even if I could remove them, which seems tough, I cant see getting them back in. Is there a better access point then through the dash front or up underneath? :dunno

four along the windshield
one of each side by the kick panel
one over the column
one on that said bracket behind the glovebox end
that's all there is.. like seven screws

the dash does kind of a "lift and roll" to come out.. it doesn't pull straight back
