darn parking brake

well, my parking brake has been a turd for last 2 years it finally took a dump. i spend 3 hours , and 5 2x4s later i got rotors off. both brake assemblys are destroyed.. the backer plate that holdes everything in place was so rusted it pulled 3 of the 4 pins right through. so my pads were rubbing on the insides of the studs. i just ripped it out. i put it back together. gonna replavce the dust shield, backer plate, and the pads and hardware. was wondering if anyone knows good place to get this. i found pads and hardware at advance for around 150 backs. not sure what ford would charge for the dust shield and mounting plate. ill try ford and maybe a salvage yard.. would like new

I know Ford offers the backing plates with the shoes already on them.. sounds like a good time to replace the rear axle grease as well...

I'm in the same situation but through ford that loaded backer, brake, shield, everything bundle is 340 bucks so if you find it cheaper please post. I'm not interested in spending over 600 in just the parking brake and backer plate.

well im got a friend that works at ford.. hes gonna get me them at cost. well hopefully it still isnt too expensive
