ISSUE:

Some 2005-2007 F-Super Duty vehicles with a long wheelbase of 156", 158", or 172" (396, 401, or 437 cm) and equipped with a trailer hitch may exhibit a vehicle vertical vibration, often described as "hopping", on smooth or coarse road surfaces in the 42-48 MPH (68-77 Km/h) speed range. Although this behavior is considered normal for an over 8500 GVW truck, some customers may be sensitive to the concern.
ACTION:

To improve the 42-48 MPH (68-77 Km/h) vertical vibration, follow the instruction sheet included in the Damper Service Kit.
NOTE: THE INSTALLATION OF THIS DAMPER WILL NOT IMPROVE RIDE ON SEGMENTED CONCRETE HIGHWAYS, STEERING WHEEL VIBRATION/SHIMMY, OR GENERAL HARSH RIDE CONCERNS.

I have that problem

03 supercab w/ 8' bed (158 wb)did it until I changed the factory shocks.

06 CC w 8' bed (172" wb) shakes the hell out of me when I'm not towing. There is one section of road here (for the locals, 96 between 59 & 23) that I can watch the rear through my side mirror jump up and down 2-3 inches. At any speed from 50-80. I look around me and nobody else's suspension is budging, this is a fairly new section of highway and quite smooth. The front is also jumping but not as bad. I assume due to the weight of the motor.

Where does this thing attach at? I had a bad drive shaft, but I still get the hop from time to time, I attributed it to the lousy factory pirelli tire.

Wouldn't matter to me. Since my truck is out of warranty, I would have to pay for the part and installation. I can always speed up or slow down if the problem occurs.

its a weight similiar t eh ones they used t hang off the center frame crossmemeber brace a few years ago in the OBS trucks. it attaches to teh trailer hitch from what i am told.....dealer has it ordered
