Hello,

I just traded my '99 F250 Super Duty v10 plus cash for this.

2001 Ford F-250 Super Duty 7.3. 206k miles.

Not sure how much work/maint has been done. Was told it has new injector sleeves. New Belts, alternator, left side rotors.

It has bigger exhaust but I think that's it. Hoping no chips have been used.

It had 35" tires that I took off and put stock back on. Also taking off lift kit.

Love the truck. Will use it to tow 32' triple slide fifth wheel and trailer for my mobile slot racing business. Cruzin Slot Car Racing.

I plan to review recommended maintenance and try to determine what needs to be done.

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Well, it was a long trip. Drove 960 miles to Fort Bragg CA and did the deal. Seller wasn't too fond of my trade but thankfully he was committed and went through with the deal.

On the way back I lost left front wheel bearing but luckily I limped to a mechanic on the Grapevine (below Bakersfield). $600 and 12 hours later I was back on the road.

Got home ok but next morn I see water
Pump had given up soon as I had parked!

My mechanic buddy fixed water pump and observed that Turbo is leaking and may have other leaks as well.

Truck is a little beat up but I will pick
Away at maintenance as I'm Able.

I Was Going to take off lift kit but not sure now. Thinking about pros and cons. I kinda
Like stock height but also Like the lifted look and clearance.

You can find some very strange stuff, and people, in Ft Bragg. I live a few miles inland of Ft Bragg.

Certainly but we all have strangeness in us, some just hide it.

And BTW, I would like to live there ❤️ And am seriously considering it.

Born in Chico, raised in Fortuna (Rhonerville), high school Santa Clara then to SoCal for 20 years, then to Phx East Valley for 25 years. I've had enough desert.

I went to the U of A (Tucson) in the 60's and 70's and I know how you feel about the desert. I lived in SoCal for 15 years before moving up to NorCal (Bay Area). I retired and moved up to Ukiah. I love this area.

Lucky you! I also lived in Tucson for one year '68-69 went to junior year HS there. Then moved back to Chico.

Hey, When I picked up the truck I drive to Ukiah looking for a new slot car raceway
Someone said existed by nope. There is one in Lakeport.

Would love to relocate in the area. Found a nice little shop/land for rent in Lakeport. Maybe in the fall. Wife likes SoCal best tho.
