I was having some popping & crackling issues with the factory stereo speakers. So I decided to get some replacement ones. I could have got speakers about anywhere. But because they can tell you what speakers will fit, I decided to buy them from Crutchfield. I happened to find an on-line coupon for $20 off so the total for 4 Sony speakers was only about $110 shipped. They also included an adapter harness so the new speakers would plug right into the factory harness. :sweet

But the best part of the whole deal was the instruction sheet. It showed exactly where all the screws were and what they were hiding under. The instructions were so complete, they even told you what size socket you needed.:clap:

I could have bought speakers at Walmart or something, but I wouldn't have had the instructions. I could have spent an hour just trying to figure out how the door panels come off without breaking something. As it went, it only took about 10 to 15 minutes for each of the 4 speakers. The whole experience went outstandingly well.

Oh and BTW, the stereo sounds better than before too.:music:music

X4 Crutchfield had been good to me for years as well.

I have been thinking of upgrading my speakers as well. TG which speakers did you get, I would like to check them out.

Thanks, I will check them out. I am not looking for monster bass or to add amp's, I just want a little better sound quality when I feel like cranking some Kid Rock.

BTW, I used some sticky back foam tape on the back of the speakers before I mounted them. Thought it might reduce any metal to metal buzzing or vibration when I have AC/DC cranked and the Wildman chip set to the OMG setting. :D:D:D

Sweet! metal to metal buzzing is bad when you are cranking some Thunderstruck!
I will keep that in mind.
