I can set my cruise and within 20 seconds or so it kicks off

Question Cruise control shuts off

Fer starters.. you could replace the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor). It's located on the top of yer rear Dif. $25.00 part, 20 minute fix.
Being a 99.. I'd bet yers is Weak & Dirty.. from normal wear ?

IT'S ALL GOOD jOE AND i WANT TO THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP I HAVE BEEN WELL OVER 600 HORSES ON GASOLINE THINKING I WANT AROUND 500 IN THIS TRUCK AM I TO FAR OUT OF LINE THESE OIL BURNERS ARE STILL NEW TO ME I GOT TIRED OF 6 MPG IN MY 97 GMC 1/2 TON ON 40'S IS THERE ANY WAY THE ZOODAD AND EVERY OTHER MOD I MADE CAUSED THE CODE

try wiggling the sensor on your master cylinder. That's how i fixed my buddies on his 99.
What other Mods have you done ?
The ZOODAD should'nt have any impact on the CC.
"rooster" has a point... give that a wiggle.

and if i remember right i read about a recall on that sensor attached to the master cylinder.

I WAS ON THE WRONG TREAD WHEN I ASKED IF THE ZOODAD MOD ,k&n AND STRAIGHT PIPE COULD CAUSE A CODE i MEANT TO POST IT ON THE THREAD ABOUT MYp0470 DTC THREAD

If you are a mechanic, then you know that K&N filter is junk. There is a sock that you can put on the K&N that will help it filter better. Or go to another filter system.
