Put your VIN in here to see if there are any recalls http://www.ford.com/en/vehicles/owners/recalls/default.htm#ford

I put both my 2002 vehicles in and one is listed (and scheduled to be fixed tomorrow at 7AM since I am going away next week and use Cruise heavily when not towing) and the other is not listed. When I spoke to the Ford Dealer he said to keep checking and be on the lookout for a letter.

wth kinda fix is this...add a fuse...why not replace the damm SWITCH
for one that works properly !

Ford dealers will install a fused wiring harness into the speed control system to solve the problem, the company said.

The fused wiring harness cuts off the electrical current to the switch in case there is increased power due to a leaking switch

Because several people here also have other Ford gasoline powered vehicles. No need to degrade into snide remarks. Save that for TDS.

Fortunately for most of us this affects the Gasoline powered owners.

Thanks for putting up the links there Otto:sweet
