I know you said you were going to buy an extended warranty but your truck should still fall in the 5 year / 100,000 initial drive train warranty. (if your signature is accurate with 40,000 miles on the clock)
The batteries must be able to spin your engine fast enough to generate the oil pressure to fire the injectors. If the batteries are weak ( one or both) you need to replace BOTH of them. [What you have is ONE battery in TWO places. They act as ONE.]
