Went out to the place Saturday and did some shredding...........had field rats scattering everywhere.

Coyotes came out of the woods and were having a field day but every time I stopped to shoot they hi-tailed it to the trees.

If I kept moving they stayed put and were good targets but I can't shoot that little 9mm from a moving tractor !@#$%........... :rant

These song dogs were pretty poor specimens..........thin, scrawny and mangy. They must have been real hungry to allow me to make five rounds in the field.......roll up on them and take a shot.......and come right back when I moved out of range.

Wish I had had my camera..........

Yep. About 8 years ago we had an infestation of them in Jersey. Broad daylight attacks, packs of them killing dogs and deer. We had something of an underground militia killing them in the woods. Even during hunting season they were a problem. The game wardens would tell you "off the record" to shoot them on site. I have been small game hunting with my brother and had these things stalk and eventually start to circle us. You shoot 5-6 and they leave, but the days over from the noise.

Best to get rid of the Coyotes soon but would it be better to let them kill off the field rats first? Once the field rats are gone learn to shoot better ;)
