powerboatr and I have been discussing the ac mod. If you dont mind waiting on that awhile I hope to have a good improvement. Of course, if it works, you can add my improvement after-the-fact. I just havent had time to finish up my inquiries.

In a nutshell, the AC mod is an all or nothing mod that once done, you have no control over. The vacuum line will shut off the water valve and you will have no control over blending in warmer air. My change will be an electric vacuum switch to allow control over whether or not the water valve opens or closes regardless of air control position. You will be able to open or close the water valve at will. When I get it done I will post a message with the extra parts identified.

Not to hijack the thread, but I have been wanting to post my little addition to the AC mod for awhile, and now is as good a time as any.

Here is a picture of a three way stopcock that I can get at work. They are thrown away when the bag is dirty. I just put it in line on the vacuum line to the mod, still behind the glove box, turn in the upright position for vacuum control, and turn it to the left in the picture to turn the vacuum off. Works well, for me.

If anybody would like one, PM me.

here is the electric part you need to have complete control over the AC Mod. Run the vacuum line to this with a dash mounted switch and you dont tee into anything.
