Coolant?

Well mine is hot as crap but I still cant imagine that the intial filter doesnt need replacing after being on there for 3 months. I was under the impression that the first one will usually plug fairly quicky. Am I right?

i had 25000km on my first filter and stiill was hot to touch. i changed it anyway....going to cut it apart and see what it filtered out....

i may have missed something in the translation here: but are we talking the factory filter or an aftermarket? uummm i have never changed mine at ~72k on the ticker.... or a flush for that matter:dunno

talking about an aftermarket coolant filter(Dieselsite kit)...our trucks don`t have a coolant filter from the factory....

chances are, yes its clogged. maybe not clogged enough so its still flowing and getting hot, but for the price of a filter, i'd say change it out, cut it open and see what you caught! if its sparkling clean....then you may be ok running the next filter for a longer interval.
