I have a 05 F250 that I bought used with 71000 miles on it. I've had it just about 2 years now and now have 96000 miles on. Only issue I have had is the EGR cooler went and that was replaced under warranty. My engine is completely stock and never gives me an issue. Personally I like my 6.0, but I'd rather have a Cummins.

6.0 powerlawsuit

Hey guys, did anyone read about the lawsuit against ford for 03-07 6.0. it is claimed the navistar designed and manufactured engine powering ford vehicles has been plagued by serious and pervasive design and manufacturing defects that render the engines and vehicles unmerchantable and unsuitable for use.
I read this is the may issue of diesel power on pg 24, has anybody heard anything about this

Diesel Power is like the 80's so far behind the times yet still think they are cool. That story is OLD with no real merit. If it's true then why aren't 6.0s selling for less than $10k?

When the 6.0 came out in 03 it had a lot of problems with the fuel system. Nearly all the 03-04 model year truck sold had to go back for serious fuel system repairs. Some were so bad Ford ended up buying the trucks back because they were unrepairable. If I recall correctly Ford bought back like 500 truck in 03 alone. By the middle of the 04 model year they had the problems fixed and the 05-07 don't suffer from the same issues. I've got 96000 miles on my 05 and never had an issue with the fuel system or the head gaskets (knock on wood). My brother-in-law's 03 was one of the truck with the fuel system problems and he has had numerous problems with the truck starting because of the fuel system even though his was repaired under the recall on the trucks.

I'm sure someone is trying to bring a lawsuit against Ford over it. Wouldn't be the first time. But it will be thrown out of court since Ford and Navistar/International corrected the issues.

By looking at his sig it looks like a done deal . Anyway the 06 and 07 6.0 have less recall and warranty issues than any other year . They had most of the issues worked out by then .

Yes, good catch there, I did do the trade, they gave me a hell of a deal on the price on the 2010. Saved me some money, got a 3yr/36k extended warranty. Either way its a 06 F-350 Dually, Crew Cab XLT 73,000 miles. This was the 4th truck I was looking at and drove the best out of all of them. Ran Oasis reports on all trucks, and the head gaskets were already replaced on this one. I still got the warranty either way, hopefully the truck will just do what I ask it to do. Dont plan on mods, just to use it.

Looks awesome! Congrats on the new ride. I'd say you came out on top on that one.
