Considering F250

I am new here and seriously considering getting a F250/CC/LB/4x4/Lariat pretty much loaded. I have ruled the others out for various reasons and satisfied myself that whatever issues the 6.0 PSD has are not endemic. I currently have a 2004 Nissan Titan LE/CC/2x4 that has given me zero trouble and can actually tow my 7500# trailer pretty well. I just have always liked diesels and have the bug for a new toy.

There are 3 minor things about the Ford that bother me. These are creature comforts that I have in all 3 vehicles I own now that I don't see on the Ford. The Ford does not have Homelink, I don't see any way to connect an I-Pod to the stereo and there is no cabin air filter. I guess I can live with a garage remote in the overhead console, but I pretty much only use the I-Pod for music now and the I am around dusty MX tracks all the time and the filter keeps the interior really clean. An FM modulator for the I-Pod is unacceptabe. Any solutions?

first, welcome to the best PSD site. Second, 2 of your comfort issues are easily solved. You can buy a replacement mirror that has homelink on it but expect to pay 400$. The ipod hookup has been solved and an article is on this very site in our Technical Wiki section. I do not know about the filtered air option or if there is anything you can do there. Could be, I just dont know.

There is an endless stream of things you can do to your truck to tweak it to suit your needs.

Stick around and you will get to know the active members here and find lots of ways to improve the truck - whether it needs it or not!

i thought we had cabin air filters?? i'll be checkin up on that and will get back with ya...but as for the truck, i'm luvin mine, my last truck was a hemi dodge 2 door shortbed got 11-13mpg. my 250 gets 16-17mpg and it has 4 doors and 4wd.
