cary a spare CPS and a 10mm wrench just in case.

Yes for 25 bucks and an itty bitty 10mm it is worth it. It took me about 30 mins the first time deciding how I wanted to get in there and fiddling around with it and a socket with a 3" extension and a wobbly but I bet if it did it again on the side of the road I could fix it in 10-15. Ohh by the way just use the 10mm end wrench and come from the bottom for those in the future who may see this thread. Don't forget a really small flat head screwdriver to get the connector out.

Ohh and carry an extra rag. It also appears that I have developed a small oil leak as the dirt and oil is starting to cake up pretty good in there.

:thanks

DEDEDE

From the mind of Mencia "DE DE DE"

So I get dropped off at the truck this morning and start it up and all is good. Go about 3 miles on base and stop at a light to turn onto the Highway. Some guys next to me honk their horn and tell me I'm leaking some thing, looks like coolant. I'm like yeah I know thank you and he is like "You sure it is a LOT" I'm like well yeah I think my water pump may have just let go". So he says you better hurry up becuase you don't have that much coolant to get you but a mile or so.

So I'm sitting at the light for anothe 30 seconds and I smell fuel. I'm thinking at first it was just the fuel I spilled from the filter when I checked that. Then I try to go when the light changes and it stutters a bit I'm like shit. I look down and my fuel gauge and I have less than a 1/4 tank. I just filled it up the day it broke down. EXPLATIVE as I get up to speed. It is one mile to the Autozone so I make it there and pull over and it is pouring out like it is comming out of a hose.

There is no way you would ever need to add another fuel pump to these things. I went through 12 gallons of fuel in 4 miles!!!!

I just have to laugh :roflmao at myself though. Otherwise life is just no fun. Turns out when I screwed my filter back on the o-ring snuck out the side and it must have partially cross threaded. I just screwed it back on and it was good to go.

Sooooo. $27 for the part and $37 for the fuel  Not like I'm made of money but what can you do?

Ohh well it could have been worse....Now I have to take that darn CPS back out so I can fix the water pump this weekend.

Just thought I would share my stupidity.
