The gee-whiz factor is purely psychological for sure............. but the rate at which flesh freezes and the rate at which mechanical and electronic equipment fails seems to increase the further below zero the mercury drops.

Yep, although it was fun to call the in-laws down in Florida to tell them it was 110 degrees warmer there than up in ND.

If you never go out in the snow, how will you ever build up experience for when you HAVE to go out in unpleasant (at least for you Texass wimps ) weather.

That's a bad combo of temp and precipitation and is pretty much a sure bet for road icing--I'm willing to be there will be a wheelbarrow full of wrecks in your neck of the woods today.

Ice, snow, cold howling wind thats when I get my overtime. Ya thats me in the big red plow truck keeping the roads clear. I love it but there is a pucker factor when you hit a drift that sends your 60,000 lb truck into a slide in whiteout conditions
