im getting things together for the new suspension build on my truck. ive finally finished with the looks and performance. but im just not satisfied with the tires and lift im running. i just have to go bigger. im looking to run the 49" irocs on a 20" wheel. (since i already have them from a previous truck) im planning on running a full coilover suspsension with a three link with panhard bar in the front and four link in the rear. ive laid out a few different designs on my computer and on paper and ive built link suspensions before just not on a scale like this. the last two i did were on leaf sprung jeeps and the one before that was on a cherokee with coils up front. my primary question at this point is what brand and style coilovers to run. im looking at the fox coilovers with external resovoirs with custom valving. they seem to be good quality and "reasonable" price. lol. any advice would be helpful from those more experienced than myself at link suspensions. im steadily gathering parts and information as it will be late january before i return home from georgia and actually get to start the project. but i want to hit it full swing and have everything there that i need already. thanks

yeah the foxes are good coilovers but for beef you can't beat the fabtech 4 inchers those things are massive. I would go to good shop and ask them cause yer gonna need something beefy for a 8k lb truck.

4 inches? really? that seems to be overkill. plus the options for spring ratea get to be pretty limited when going with a body that large. i was leaning more towards a 3 inch body with a remote resorvoir. im contacting king coilovers today to get a better idea of what spring rates i need. ill probably go with te smallest they suggest i can get away with an still be strong enough to beat on. lol

King should be the only company your looking at.Look at almost any Baja 1000 machine and you'll see King shock absorbers.
I was in Chris Andersen's (NBA guy) Excursion with the Fabtech 4 incher's the other day.I wasn't too impressed with the ride.
Fox is a decent company. That being said, they are NOT King's! Hope this gives you some food for thought.
