Could be the throwout bearing. :dunno

X's 2. With whats involved to replace it ? Might think about replceing the whole clutch assembly, with the Improved Throw-out bearing

11 year old SD, 11 year clutch with a bad throw-out bearing..... Ya gota drop it all to get there, why not.....line of thinking ?

yea i was thinkin that, how much would that run me?

I'm Gun Shy to say. Lota Deals out there.. Yul just hafta shop around.

2 years ago I paid $1300 or so, installed. I bought the parts ( Complete LUK set up).. My Ford garage did the Install. (Not yer average FORD shop tho).

Whatever you dicide ? Check the End Play on the Tranny in-put shaft. >Sometimes< >AS< the Throwout goes south, (but before you can hear or feel it).. it >can< be taking the In-put shaft bearing south with it.

I had mine replaced.. Just Because I had everything out/off the truck and on the bench. (peventive, just incase stuff )
