I am hearing a clunking or rattling when I hit small bumps. Sounds almost to be in center of truck. I have had some people tell me thats normal on the super duties. Any help would be great
Had a bumping noise in the front of my truck when I hit bumps. New sway bar links may be the thing you need. Mine had a bad bushing in it, but I have seen them break already. Just a thought.

I have pretty much the same noise in mine that sounds like it is comming from where the cab and bed meet. It is only noticable when I flex the frame some by turning over bumps. I always considered it normal. I have a 2001 supercab SB 4X4. It usually will not make the noise going straight ahead over bumps. Hope this helps some.
Haven't done mine yet, but I think the complete links are around $90 a set from Ford. Been told they have an upgraded version to replace the original ones on earlier trucks.
Just buy looking and wiggling the sway bar does not indicate to me that bushings are bad. Checked ball joints, shocks, and steering linkage, still nothing. I'm guessing motor mounts next. Will check.
