Clunk from transfer case or rear end?

I have a 2000 F250 6speed manual with turn button 4wd and when I change my direction of travel from forward to reverse it makes a clunking kind of noise. Could it be the rearend or transfercase? Im in 2wd when it makes this noise. Thanks for any help.

bettin it's the slip yoke...
take the driveshaft out and grease it with Lubri-plate...

which you'll find when you remove the driveshaft..
make sure to chalk-mark it across the split to get it back in phase when you re-install it...
