Climate Controls issue

it hast happed ALOT on mine. i just cycle the key and it comes back on. i have talked to a few others that have the same problems but it can never be recreated at the dealership. mine is out of warranty so i have to live with it until it completely quits

A good one anyway. I live an hour from the ferry, and thats an hour and a half ride, then an hour to the dealer. My local dealer refused to work on my dealer installed at purchase time, remote start because I did not buy the truck through him. So he gets none of my business.

well that sucks! Some dealers just shouldnt be dealers...

So nobody has a resolution for this? I made an appointment for my '05 to go in next week for the same problem.

Three times it happened to me. I usually leave the climate controls in AUTO. I press the OFF button, wait ten seconds, and press AUTO again. It comes right back up.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one with a ghost in the machine.

No solution

Hopefully your dealer comes up with a solution.

I was never able to get it to happen again, and it hasn't happened for about 6 mobths now.

I tried to get the dealer to deal with it when I took my truck in to get various things fixed before my 60000km warranty expired. He didn't find anything on their Ford website, and it didn't happen when it was in, so they did nothing.

If your dealer finds a cause/solution let me know so I can get mine fixed.

I had the same problem about four times. Same Fix. I set up an appt. the first time but it came back on so i cancelled it. I dont worry about it.

This is the first time I have seen this post and yes it has happen to me about 4 or 5 times.

Well the truck was in today...the service writer and the tech called me to verify the issue as they were unable to reproduce it...they then called Ford...Ford had two items to test(unknown what they were) and said if they were good to replace the climate control module...module is suppose to be in next week...we will see what happens...

I just had mine replaced last week. It's only blinked out a few times since new but they replaced the control. Said it was a 2007 p/n ? Maybe they've been updated?
