first off my truck is bone stock and my evolution chip is off untill i get parts to make it run right without problems hah but anyway i think the alternator is making the clicking noise but im not sure and my battery volt gauge in the dash flickers back and forth and my lights flicker my dad thinks its the alternator and so do i but then again im not very motor smart like i said before haha so if you guys have any ideas for me let me know and if you think it is alternator is there a more bad ass aftermarket one that i should get. but as of now it still starts no problem at all

thanks

When does it click?

Is it when you first turn your ignition on? If so, its probably your glow plug relay.

it clicks for about 5 minutes or so right when i start it and then after it gets warmed up in the morning it stops but then if i shut my truck off and start it right back up it does it again for about the same amount of time and then stops and drives fine

well it clicks and clicks for a minute or to weather it is warmed up or not, once i get it warm i can shut it off and start it right back up and it will click and click again for the same amount of time and i have know idea what it might be just because motors are not my thing "yet" haha so ill try and go by what you guys say to do to it

What year truck? Earlier PCM codes will cycle the plugs no matter if it is cold or warm, newer codes will cycle less when the engine is warm. It sounds to me like the click you are hearing and the light flicker is the GPR which is normal..
