clicking under dash

I have 99 powerstroke and i have a relay under the dash just to the right of the fuse box access panel that will start clicking when trying to start truck will not start. can wait 10 or 15 min. try to start and if the relay doesnt start clicking the truck will start can anybody tell me what this relay is for.

did you try cleaning up the battery terminals and cables yet? check the cables for cracks. Or take it to a parts store to have each battery INDIVIDUALLY LOAD tested? Check the connection to the starter for any corrosion?

Whenever Anything starts to Buzz, Hum, Click or Flicker.. Clean the Battery Cable Clamps, Post and Connections FIRST.
