I unplugged my egr valve and then plugged it back in but the cel is still on, how do i clear it, can it be done without a scan tool?

Two Ways, other than a Scan Tool:

1. Look in your owners manual for the fuse that controls the KAM (keep alive memory), pull it for a few minutes.

2. Disconnect both batteries for 20 minutes, or so.

While you have them off its a good time to service the battery clamps.
