techs

can sometimes create more problems than are needed....replaced my engine at 412,000k (approx 250,000 miles) due mostly to bad communications between the deskjockey and tech. I'm not pulling PA hills but I have been there. Seems that would be an area of the country where good gauges would pay for themselves.I have pulled Park-models through the Rockies (Canadian side) without problems.

Be well!

Just out of curiosity, which Dealer are you at? Please don't say Shultz in Wexford... if you are, God bless you... they couldn't fix a dirty window. We had a truck there and dad kept going back until warranty ran out. My buddy had an explorer there too, all kinds of problems, pissed him off so bad he went and bought a dodge.

The dealership makes the difference. I live in Butler, where are you?

Do not live in Pitt.

I am about 5 1/2 hours outside Pittsburg around Philadelphia. The dealership has the best diesel mechanics working there from what I can tell. Asked around the area before I took it anywhere. Everyone recomended this place.

A good sat of gages is the first thing you need to put on the 6.0. I was pulling my fifth wheel in the hills of Arkansas & Missouri and after putting the gages on, I knew that I had been running it to hard.
I gross about 22500 truck & trailer and everything has been real good for the past 27000 miles. Good luck on getting it fixed.

Seriously bummed out.
2004 F350 Crew Cab DRW 70000 miles
So many problems with it, it would take me to long to type. Last month the EGR cooler went and basically steam cleaned the top of the motor and sent all the antifreeze out the tail pipe. Got that fixed, and last week, going out to Pittsburg blew the head gaskets while towing my 33 ft. fifth wheel. That is still sitting in Pitt. along with the truck. Now that is two times that antifreeze has gotten down in the motor. These trucks have aluminum heads. Hate to think what they look like?
As I type this my truck is sitting there with the cab off of it and they are just going to flush the motor and slap the heads back on.
Got alot of info from the the ford tech in or around Pitt. There are major design problems with these trucks and ford is keeping a pretty tight lip on it. I am sure a lawyer would like to hear some of it.

Sorry you are experiencing problems.

Why do you think they redesigned the motor and the truck around it for 08'?
Can you say really screwed up.
No, it really wasnt the excessive problems with the 6.0 that caused the retooling of the 08 models. The 06 and 07 model years actually had less warranty claims than the last year of the 7.3L. It was retooled to meet changing EPA standards that the 6.0 could not meet.

Does anyone know of a class action suit going on????

No, though I am sure there are some out there.

Need anyones help on getting on one or starting one.

No, not on this site. I am sorry to hear that you are having troubles with your truck, but do not use this site to drum up support for a law suit against anyone. If you have specific problems with your truck that you need help with please post those, the members will do what they can to give you advice or support. Class action law suits are a joke.
