Hi all. I'm new here. I have a 07 stroke that has a straight pipe int it already. But I would like to chop it down so it dumps infront of the rear tire. My truck is the extendedcab with the long bed. So I don't think the exhaust will bother the cab. I'm more interested if it will hurt the turbo or any part of the system:nutkick:

Hey red, since your name says 97 I will assume that you meant 97 stroke and not 07 (especially since they arent out yet).... But at any rate, welcome to the forums at SDD.

To answer your question. No, you will not harm the turbo in any way shape or form by shortening the length of the exhaust. I ran mine for awhile with only a down pipe dumping right by the tranny. Mine now exits in front of the rear wheel like you are wanting to do.

I was thinking about cutting mine at a friends father's shop so I could have the duals going out in front of the tires

But of course, the man stopping us from using our trucks to the fullest :D

Welcome to SDD :sweet

As mentioned - you will not hurt anything. The only problem I see is that you will have everthing from that point back covered in soot - which unless you stay on it will be a pain to clean.
