mine dont got no lower anchors neither, it does have the upper anchors. i also use the middle of the back seat 2 knee method for my daughters seat, wifes trailblazer has the lower anchors on both sides. i think ford should have them in ALL vehicles. but thats the responsible parent coming out:D

another good tip i learned from watchin one of those news magazine shows about child restraints, is when you get them strapped in, it should be very snug.

they also said that you should not be able to slide your hand in between the belts and the child's chest.

they be alittle tight in there, but its better that being thrown around.

Yep--we had a car wreck come into the ER two weekends ago and the two kids (who were both properly restrained) were uninjured. The other people in the vehicle were all injured and one of them is now a quadrapalegic b/c of no seatbelts.

Fire1 In your manual it has the part number for the anchor mounts. My 99 did not have them but I went to Ford and had them order three for the truck

As to the MightyTights, I was told by a statetrooper when I had the child seats checked that they do not recommend using them. Sometimes the belts can get pinched or frayed due to their use. Now having said that, I do not use in the truck, but in my little Subaru that I can't get the seat good and tight, I do use them.

Just passing on what I was told.

Yeah I would be careful how the belt is fed through and would not use it for that reason if a seat were taken out frequently. Ours stay put 99% of the time. I also recommend getting the belt as tight as you can prior to using this device, just use it to snug it down fully.
