Hey Guys,

Just checking in about changing my Serp Belt. I can just swap it out, right? There is nothing I need to time, correct?!?

Great news, guys! Thanks.

I just didn't want to change it and then find out later that something was out of whack!

I would recommend inspecting the idler and tensioner while you are at it. The bearings have a penchant for failing.

I tell ya what. I don't like messing with the breaker bar. I get up on top of the engine bay and push the belt down inbetween the alternator and compressor. Then I just slip it off. Putting it back on do the same thing. I have found you can hold the the belt tight with the tensioner tight by holding the belt on the alternator with a strong hand. Just me though. Some people won't be able to do this. I told my dad how to do it and he couldn't do it.

Yeps.. its that simple...

Unless you're on the side of the road in the rain with one hand in a cast from a broken thumb.

Just my wonderful personal experience !!!!!

Let's just say, it took some creative mechanic work.
