CFM+ Intake

I just installed a CFM+ intake on my truck. according to the instructions it says it may throw a code but not a check engine light. well mine throws a check engine light. I have disconnected the batteries a couple times to clear the check engine light, but it keeps returning. You have to remove the EGR valve plate on the '04's and that is what is causing the check engine light to come on. I even hooked the EGR plate back up, cleared the check engine light again and it did not come on until I removed the plate again. On the good side I did talk to CFM who hooked me up with Tadd at Elite Diesel and he is sending me some wiring that will make the truck thing the EGR valve plate is there and CFM is picking up the cost.
I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what they did to fix it. I wont get the wiring until after the new year and the check engine light drives me nuts.

What is the PCM code?

I don't have a reader so i have not been able to read what the actual code is. I did remove the EGR throttle plate from under the intake, I knew that would cause a code, just not a check engine light,
