In a van down by the river...
So just to be positive, I need a piece of 4" pipe that's 3.5" long? Now I'm wondering if I could get a piece of 4" pipe bent appropriately to fit directly from my Tymar filter to the intake duct on the turbo. I'll still need to use the stock rubber tubing that connects directly to the turbo, since it's got a 3.5" inlet and the Tymar filter has a 4" outlet, but that's not a big deal.

I've started building pure 4" cold air intakes from the grill to the turbo and I found that Charlie at intakehoses.com has the best selection of parts. You can get a "hump hose" that is a 4' to 3" reducer and he has differant lengths of aluminum tube. You can use exhaust tube also. I was playing with my heat gun and temp probe and I found I need to find a source for 4" O.D. plastic tube. Aluminum and steel transfer to much heat for a cold air induction. Plumbing parts are the cheapest and easyest to find but there all I.D. measured.
