Cat diesel in a pickup?

This may seem like a stupid question, but one of my friends said they where going to put a cat diesel in the 3/4 ton pickup. I told him it was imposible because they dont make one small enough to go in a pick up, was i wrong on that fact.

Once you get into like a F650 you can get a cat engine. I heard that the toys were looking at a possible cat in a 3/4 ton market.

I have seen a small Cat V8 in a 3/4 Chevy years ago. Had a 10 speed over in it. Sucker would pull and run top end.

Yeah, I know somebody that has a 750 4X4:eek: and it has a cat. Those are some of the best diesel engines you can get!!

what about the 4 cyl cat thast comes in the backhoes or skid steers? can it be adapted to a normal tranny? or should i say has it been done?

A truck with the 4 banger in it would be so underpowered it wouldn't be much fun to drive. They only have about 50 to 75 HP's at the most.
