Looking to buy either a Expedition or Explorer. The pricing on these vehicles have hit rock bottom and the wife needs a bigger car than the Crown Victoria to haul the kids. All of these SUVS are being shown as less than $16,000. A big drop from the $30k-$35 these originally sold at. I am just leary and I don't want a wrecked or flooded car.

Can anyone run a carfax report for the below vehicles?
Thanks

2007 Expedition

2006 Explorer

You can run your own, for $24.99 for one or $29.99 for up to ten reports. No freebies.

So when other people ask it's OK?

How about Oasis reports? Do I need to buy them too?

Mike are these vehicles on a website? Some of the dealers offer a free Carfax report. My oldest son is in the process of buying a 2006 Explorer to replace the 95 F-150 in my avatar. He has searched many websites and alot of them have links to free Carfax reports. The one that he is buying is at Sewell Lexus in Dallas. It's an Explorer XLT 4X4 with 15K miles, and the salesman actually ran a report (similar to Carfax) that listed the vehicle's history. The report showed that it is a "local" car, been in the Dallas area all it's "life". We drove a 2007 Explorer with 24K miles that was originally a Hertz rental vehicle in Massachusetts.

Oasis is FREE at your local Ford Dealer. Just take them the VIN and have them run it.

Yeah, but if ya get anything older than 10yrs old, Oasis aint worth poop. Only goes back 10yrs, but you shouldn't have that problem.

Wayne, how much is you son paying for the 06 Explorer? The ones I am looking at are in the $14-$15k range but I figured I could get them down to 12 or 13 since sales have plummeted for SUVS, especially the V8 models.

All of the cars have links to Carfax but all it shows is that there are 10 records and that I need to buy the reports. :(

Mike, the Explorer was $16,800 and has 15,100 miles on it. They had it marked down from $19000. He financed it for 72 months at 8.99%, including purchasing a 6 year 100,000 mile warranty and his payments are $337.00 per month.
