Hello All,
Long time lurker 1st time poster here. If you can help it might be a little more often
I've been in the market for some time now for an SD. I just found a deal that I just can't pass up. It's a 99 F350 Lariat Extended Cab, 7.3, Lariat and it's loaded. 40k miles, yes not 140, for $10.5k. It's not a wreck, I know the owner and all his stuff was immaculate. The only problem I have is my 15m.o. son's carseat. I'm a pretty good sized guy so he's not gonna be sitting in the middle up front. My problem is that when I tried to squeeze the carseat into the back it will sit on the seat but the front part hangs over a bit too much making it rather tippy. I'm wondering of anybody else has had this issue and what if anything they did to resolve it. I've already talked to Ford about the R7C program(carseat tethers) and it's free to have them installed but it sounded like they go in the front and not the back. Right now if I decide to purchase the plan is going to be building a box to bridge the gap between the front and back seat and then cover it with fiberglass on the sides and a interior matching carpeting on top for the car seat to rest on.
Fire away and thanks for reading.
