Tail gunner, where did you get your, how much $, and how many gal/hr flow is it rated at? Does anyone know how many gal/hr is required for these engines?

I got the filter & base at Car Quest. The Car Quest number was 86418. Car Quest uses Wix filters and puts them in Car Quest boxes. You can find Wix filters at most parts places boxed under various brand names.

The Car Quest 86418 filter is also a Wix 33418, 12 micron filter & 12 -15 Gallons Per Minute. Our engines don't come close to that kind of fuel flow.
Since I use it as a prepump filter to keep crude & chunks out of the fuel pump, 12 Microns is plenty fine.

I think Wix 24309 was the base I used, any competent auto parts person will be able to cross that number to a Car Quest, NAPA, Autozone or ??? number.

As for prices, you'll have to do your own shopping for the filter, base, fuel hose, fittings & clamps. Different places will have different prices.

Thanks Tail Gunnerfor the help with the filter. Well, I did the Hutch modification. In theory, I can see how it would help. In reallity, I don't notice any difference in the sound of the engine. But it is nice to know it won't be sucking any air. ;tu
