I recently ordered a set of boots for the hot side CAC pipe, and a metal replacement and boots for the cold side. I reviewed the install instructions on RiffRaffdiesel's site, but it appears to be a 7.3L. It looks like I just pull the intake out to reach the cold side, and hot side is mostly exposed already. My question is, How do you get to the lower boots to clamp them down? Is it just a matter of reaching down through the engine bay, or is there a better approach? This is my only vehicle, so when i pull these it would be nice if i can get it back on before the end of the day. Thanks for your insight!

You need a pretty good selection of tools, u-joints, and extensions to tackle this. Under the truck may give you a better shot at some of the joints. It can take a while.

Clean the adjoining surfaces [Real Good].. before you re-assemble ?

A spray of Windex helps the boots slip onto the tubes and such.. leaves No residue ?

Some use a little Hair Spray.. helps them slip on too.. and provides a bit of adhesion, when it drys ?
