Good morning all,
Anyone ever try one of these EGR Bypass kits? My truck has 3000 miles left on the warranty and I was wondering if this is worth the $160.00 price on E-Bay. What do y'all think!

The parts are relatively cheap. Its the labor involved. If you can do it yourself, do it. The ad might be a bit misleading. I'm leaning towards tuners popping head gaskets more than an egr cooler leak. I haven't seen one so bad that hydrostatic lock occured and lifted a head. When mine went it was pretty unremarkable. No drama. Just white smoke and a large repair bill. Your results may vary.

My leaking EGR was also uneventful in that there was no big failure, only a missing cylinder. It did get repaired under warranty, but still cost me $$$ in lost time with the truck. I would not by pass mine.
