Buying a new Truck!! HELP!!!!

Im going to drive a Black superduty F250 King Ranch..This truck has only 40k miles THIS TRUCK IS A DIESEL. Four door Four wheel drive FX4. Has the crome mirrors with aftermarket smoked blinkers. Has factory 20in wheels. Truck has custom all black front end along with painted rear bumper.Has beautiful light tan saddle seats, buckets with console that are all power along and heated. That info is copied from the guys ad on autotrader. I called him and offered him 18000 for it if everything checked out on it. SO my question to you is what do i look for? Is it odd for it to be 3 model years old and only have 40k miles on it? ITs from an individual so no carfax or anything will be available. I sold my f150 for 22000.00 so i have some money to play with if the injectors or glow plugs or anything major are bad on it but id like to know what to look out for. Any response would be great

That isn't odd for the mileage, my 05 only has 21,000 miles on it. Get the VIN number and go to your local Ford dealer and ask them to run an Oasis report using the VIN you give them. The report will tell you everything that was ever done under warranty to the truck.

Yes, ask the service man to pull you a complete Oasis report.
Don't know if he will charge you for it or not, but whatever, it will be worth it to you.
My 06 has 44000 on it so the mileage is no big deal, and $18000 don't sound to bad.
