I wish I was in the market for a new one, this is a great deal. At least Ford has "one upped" GM on a rebate. You can see why the GT cars wouldn't be included: 1) If you're spending that kind of money <$100K+> you can afford the fuel, and 2) It's not going to take very long to use $1,000 of fuel in a GT.

My wife bought me my 80 Corvette years ago, after I put her through Med School. She also bought me my "soon to be sold" (hopefully) 04 Dodge Quad Cab 4x4 3500 Cummins. (she thought the color was pretty ) Since she is an M.D. and Im retired, she makes more $$$ than I do . Its great as I can go to the river after she leaves in the morning for work.
