When I come to a stop at stop lights i get a very strong (to the point of opening the windows) smell of burnt oil that fills the cab. This has been happening for about 9 months and it only seam to happen the first two to three weeks after an oil change then it goes away.(this is only the second time) I know what you think I may have spilled oil on the engine, that's what I thought the first time but this time I was very careful not to spill and still got the smell again. I don't drive the beast everyday, it only runs on the weekend when or camping stuff like that. about a year ago the Ford dealer replace HPOP and I thought maybe that could be causing the problem but it's never low on oil, and the dealer can not find a leak. my wife wants me to trade it in for a new one, but I kind of like the beast it finally broke in 115K and change.
